Elizabeth Shaghalian Vranka

Elizabeth Shaghalian Vranka is a lawyer by training and spent most of her professional career working as a corporate lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore (1991-1998) and at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York (2013-2014). From 2016-2023, Elizabeth began a second career as Executive Director of OSilas Gallery & Art Studio at Concordia College New York (Bronxville). In this position she was in charge of all gallery operations, including securing exhibitions, marketing and fundraising. For more than 15 years, she was also active in several not-for-profit organizations in Bronxville. Prior to moving to Rhode Island, Elizabeth was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church in White Plains, New York, where she served as chair of the Parish Council and a Sunday school teacher for several years. Elizabeth holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She lives with her husband, Larry, and their three children in Narragansett, Rhode Island.
